ARTWORK SPECIFICATION

FOR CLIENTS WITH COMPLETE ARTWORK: Please supply as either hi-resolution, multi-platform compatible PDF, EPS or TIFF (TIFFs are less preferred as they cause text quality issues). Please embed all fonts or convert them to outlines/paths. All files must be CMYK. AVOID sending artwork created in a format native to the application eg. Quark Express or Photoshop PSD etc as these cause font compatibility problems and we cannot install supplied fonts as this is in breach of licensing laws. Formats that do not constitute COMPLETE artwork are Microsoft Word, low resolution PDFs/TIFFS. Also JPEGS
or BITMAPS. Changes to COMPLETED artwork not created by ourselves may be made but will be charged at our hourly rate.

FOR CLIENTS WITHOUT COMPLETE ARTWORK: We offer a design service which is free of charge (not paid for in price of advertising space) providing we have correct information and CLEAR instructions. We DO NOT collect artwork or arrange photography within this design service, although photography can be arranged subject to a further cost, details of which are available on request. We will only send a second proof to you if we have had to make major changes, your second proof is final. Charges may be incurred if additional changes/proofs are asked for - therefore it is in your best interests to supply
ALL CORRECT INFORMATION required for your advert ( text, colour, rough layout, photos, logos etc).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PAYMENT We shall issue your invoice on receipt of this order. An administration fee of £50 is payable on any
uncleared cheque. Cheques should be made payable to Staffordshire Media and be sent to Staffordshire Media, B1 Trentham Business Quarter, Bellringer Road, Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. ST4 8GB. Payment may also be made by BACS details of which you will find on your invoice. Credit accounts are strictly net and are payable upon publication date. The publisher reserves the right to make surcharges at the rate of 5% per month until payment is made. We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate any contract on any account where payment is overdue. Failure to pay credit accounts on time will constitute breach of contract and all outstanding monies on pre-booked future advertising will become immediately due and payable.

ADVERTISING POSITION

All adverts are to be placed in the most appropiate position the publisher deems fit. Unless a position is included in the special details section of the contract the publisher reserves the right to place any advertisement in any position within the magazine.

ADVERTISING AGENCIES will be allowed 10% commission on the quoted rates as appropriate, provided payment is made by the due date and all other requirements are strictly complied with.

PUBLICATION DATES Publication dates are set out for general guidance only. Staffordshire Media reserves the right to change publication dates should it become necessary without reference to advertisers or their agencies. In the case of a publication being cancelled for any reason a full refund of any monies paid will be offered.

CANCELLATION Written notification of any advertisement, be it current or forward booked, must be received within seven days of the date of the signed media order. The company does not except verbal cancellation. The non supply of artwork does not constitute cancellation. If copy instructions are not received by copy date the publisher reserves the right to insert the most appropriate from any information received. If a series of adverts is cancelled any discounts awarded will be void and will result in full payment of the published rate becoming due on any outstanding invoice. The advertiser will indemnify the publisher fully in respect of costs, damages or other charges the publisher may incur as a result of legal action arising from
the publication of an advertisement published in accordance with copy instructions supplied by the advertiser.
